There are many more ways you can measure, and many more social media sites offer different types of measurements to its members. However, defining the “return” on a social media activity doesn’t mean always have to be a directly sell products. It’s actually very rare to see a “click to purchase” from a mention in social media on the idea that attempting direct return to a sale will prove that social media works.

Hey Denni,
You describe strategy is measure. There are many social media can measure benefits which bring different influence. I am insteresting about your message boards concepts. Is it similar micro-blogging tools?
Hi Denni,
Although it is a belief that social media cannot be used to measure an organization, the opposite is actually true. By monitoring the performance of an organization on social networking sites, the overall performance of an organization can be estimated. For example, by examining the perfomance of an organization onsocial media factors such as the nature of procudts, consumers and type of media used can be determined. In measuring the performance of a specific brand on social media, the reception of such a brand can be measure by the rate at which views consume the brand contents, such as videos, links and photos. Besides, by creating a social media platform, consumers are provided with the opportunity of making comments and offering recommendations for improvements. Through such activities, an organization is able to estimate its overall performance and make appropriate interventions based on the outcome of the measurements. I liked your post.
Regards, Mazen
Hey Denni, nice post. Just like you said more and more organizations are using social netowrk tools. However, social media can represent both opportunity and risk to the business. Ideally, it provides a key platofrm for the organziation to connect with customers and shape their perceptions. Eventually social media would be a place for advertising and corporate communications.
