“Software above the level of a single device” is one of the core principles of the Web 2.0. At the EclipseCon 2005 conference, Tim O’Reilly stated that “The PC (Personal Computer) is no longer the only access device for Internet applications, and applications that are limited to a single device are less valuable than those that are connected”. In other words, with the technology development today, Internet and the Web 2.0 technology allow all applications to have more ability to access the various PCs that connect to the Web. Therefore, applications able to be accessed by handheld mobile devices, PCs and the Internet. They also need to be able to work anywhere, anytime.

The applications like KKBOX and Google Documents can be accessed through different platforms such as mobiles, Tablet PCs and PCs. Therefore, they are not just limited to the PC platform only.
