Wikipedia is a collective editing platform which allows end user maintaining or contribution data on the pages but “not all wikis are Wikipedia’s, however. Some wikis are for private use and are simply communication tools between family, friends and co-workers.” (RevenueGal, Understanding Wiki). However, basically wiki is a public site that is a useful resource for organizations. A defining characteristic of wiki technology is the ease with which pages can be created and updated. Generally, there is no review before modifications are accepted. Many wikis are open to alteration by the general public without requiring them to register user accounts.

Our group will take an example ProMOS Technologies which is a leading manufacturer of semiconductor memory products. More precisely, ProMOS specializes in DRAM technology, including stack DRAM and trench DRAM, and also makes flash memory, discrete charge-trapping memory, and phase-change memory.
